“American Idol,” takes center stage the first Thursday
of each month at 6 p.m. in Coast Nightclub.
This season the show will hold auditions on five
special nights: March 5, April 2, May 7, June 4 and

The event’s finals will be held August 6.
Each week, contestants perform before a panel
of judges to qualify for the competition’s grand
prize: a trip for two to Las Vegas to audition with
several major record label executives. This season,
the grand prize is grander than ever with two tickets
to the 2010 Grammy’s going to the winner.
Each show’s finalist receives a Biloxi prize package
including a gift certificate from Beau Rivage
and a gift pack from WKRG-TV and Clear Channel
Radio. The 12 winners will move to the event’s
semi-finals held on July 2 and then to the finals held
on Aug. 6.
Contestants can register at Beau Rivage’s entertainment
website, www.beaunights.com,

audition on-site at Coast Nightclub between 5 p.m.
and 6 p.m. An audience wild card spot has been
added this season, giving a member of the audience
a chance to audition for the competition. Interested
contestants must be at least 21 years old and are encouraged
to bring their own music CD. Contestants
may be judged on appearance, talent, singing skill,
stage presence, vocal clarity, potential to entertain
an audience, crowd appeal and overall impression.
